Wesley Wolter MA, MS, LADC, RYT200, a Queens, New York native, moved to Vermont a decade ago in search of solitude, healthy living and spirituality; enjoying the mountain biking and snowboarding the state had to offer. Wesley is a psychotherapist practicing in Vermont helping all beings including those with mental health and addiction challenges. Wesley holds a Masters of Arts in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University, a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College and a Certification as a Registered Yoga Instructor/200hr from the Sivananda Ashram School of Yoga. Currently, Wesley is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor for the State of Vermont (LADC) and come early 2018, Wesley will be recognized as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Vermont. Wesley is trained in EMDR, mindfulness and other research based therapies and has an expertise is working with adults and children, that struggle with challenging and high risk behaviors, addiction, trauma related disorders, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, anxiety and depression. Wesley offers trauma informed yoga for all beings, targeting specific populations; Yoga for men, addictions, trauma and emotional needs.
Wesley has helped developed three private mental health residences as clinical project manager in his career with Amici Associates, developing homes for individuals struggling with persistent mental illness, stepping down from hospital level of care into the communities, for the State of Vermont. Wesley helped develop the Men’s Unit at Valley Vista Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Center, upon the opening of the unit, as lead primary therapist; offering group, family and individual addiction counseling and psychotherapy. He recently helped Becket Family Services as Clinical Supervisor and Clinician, VPI North, serving adolescent boys with developmental trauma utilizing treatment methods such as SSRT, EMDR, expressive and art therapy, yoga, meditation and adventure recreation therapy , such as “cycle therapy”. Wesley is creative and an empowering therapist.
Wesley Wolter presently holds a private practice in Fairlee and Waterbury, Vermont’s surrounding areas. He is the founder of Milldale Farm Center for Wellness which offers a multifaceted and holistic approach to human services; offering yoga, mental health and addiction counseling, wellness consultation and coaching, retreats, events and workshops. Wesley is the co-founder of the Vermont Be True Yoga and Wellness Festival. Wesley spends his free time enjoying life with his partner, family, and his two furry children (dogs), practicing yoga, and on his motorcycle and mountain bike.
